Berryman House Opens Donation Center & Housing For Houston Hurricane Victims

(HOUSTON, TX…August 29th, 2017) – The Berryman House, Inc. a 501(c)(3) has organized “Houston, We’re Solving Problems Coalition” in collaboration with Christ Community Churches, On Track Ministries, First Outreach Church, BH Ranch Entertainment and Event Center, Homestyle Restaurant/Catering and Linn Street Outreach Mission.

Their goal is to assist victims of the recent flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey and offer the following items free of charge: Food – canned goods/dry goods, water, toiletry items, blankets, baby items, etc., and temporary shelter. They are presently on 11.5 acres and have adequate space to provide relief for Houston communities and be a humanitarian arm to the city of Houston.

Berryman House, Inc. has partnered with HomeVestors, Rentors Warehouse and other corporations to get 150+ homes filled with displaced families. Additional Berryman House, Inc. shelters will be used for overflow accommodations once the houses have been filled.

Families are encouraged to register and complete their application at BH Ranch Entertainment and Event Center, 14149 Buxley / Player, Houston, Texas 77045 daily from 9am-8pm Monday-Friday.

The process will consist of assessing the need of the individuals concerning their area of request whether it is supplies, food, transportation, shelter or any other issue. They will assign each person a number for record keeping and accountability. Once forms have been completed a care package will be given out to each person and temporary shelter will be provided upon request. Shuttle service will be provided to transport families to the nearest available housing, apartments or shelters available.

All donations of items and contributions of monetary support are welcomed at the BH Ranch Entertainment and Event Center, 14149 Buxley / Player, Houston, Texas 77045.

The Berryman House, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) organization which assists individuals with social ills such as homelessness, addictions, and HIV /AIDS. It was founded in 1994 by Kim Berryman and is now being overseen by Pastor Samuel Harris, Jr. Having established five (5) homes, housing over forty (40) individuals daily; they facilitate the provision of housing, food, transportation, testing, and more.
